I recently had a mishap and brushed it off without obtaining diagnostic studies. I treated conservatively and when I wasn’t getting better and had definite loss of range of motion, I had x-rays and an MRI performed. It turned out that I had two full thickness tears in my rotator cuff and now require surgery. Please learn a lesson from my experience and obtain diagnostic studies as soon as possible after you have suffered your injury, whether workers compensation related or not.
The sooner you find out what is wrong, the sooner you can get the appropriate treatment and not be in pain. You can believe that if I am in a situation like that again, that I will be more aggressive in my treatment and obtaining diagnostic studies.
